The death of a friend is never easy, the days seem gloomy and the nights filed with despair. A few days ago I lost a friend to a sudden and decisive illness, to some my mourning over the loss of an animal would seem ridiculous . First let me start by saying Cisco was one of those rare horses who seemed to know what you were thinking and could communicate through a look that we would be hard pressed to say in many sentences.. He and I spent long hours together in the short time I knew him and became much more that horse and rider. We were as one when riding across the plains or through the mountains. I will ask you to read an old post SACRED GROUND which I believe describes him fully. Have a safe journey to the other side my friend and I will see you when I get there. HAWK

Oh Hawk, this is more than the loss of a good friend. This is like losing part of your own soul. It is a hard hard blow. I am so sorry.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your horse, Cisco. You look great mounted on him and you had many, many moments of quality time together that I know you will treasure till you both meet again.
